How can I tell if an article is peer-reviewed?
Check our Research Guide on Peer Review.
Answer
The following steps should help you find a peer-reviewed article:
1. Go to https://library.njit.edu
2. Conduct your keyword search from the Library Search tab and press Enter.
3. When the search results appear, you will see a column on the left side of the screen that says Filter My Results. Under Show Only, click on Peer-Reviewed Articles.
You can also search within databases that focus on peer-reviewed articles. For example, Scopus is a resource that indexes only scholarly (peer-reviewed) articles.
